The client required a large garden office that was also to be occasionally used by the children as a playroom or for sleepovers, so the design needed to incorporate room for a couple of desks but also for a sofa bed and a TV. She also wanted landscaping around the cabin to include decking with a veranda and seating area plus a pebbled area to the side of the cabin to be used for a fire pit and additional seating.

The outside of the cabin is clad in local Cedar using the traditional up and over style of fitting, using stainless steel pins. There are large 3 metre sliding doors to the front elevation, giving the cabin a feeling of light and space, aswell as a 1.4 x 1 metre window looking on to the fire pit area, covered in Scottish pebbles. There is also a letterbox window to the left elevation to give a view of the surrounding trees. Inside there are four BTC Hector walllights for ample illumination and two sandblasted weathered bronze BTC mast lights to the outside to light the veranda. The floor is OSB painted in Down Pipe, the ceiling is plastered and painted in New White and the walls are panelled, painted in India Yellow. All electrical sockets and switches are in Corston Bronze.
