Office & Garden Lounge

Five Ways, Brighton

The client benefits from a large garden to all 4 sides of their single story property and wanted a large office in one corner of the garden, where they can work from home. They also wanted the cabin to be dual purpose so that they could use it as a lounge or extra entertaining space. We decided on large 3.5 metre black aluminium bifolding doors to bring the outside into the room and to flood ther large space with as much light as possible. 2 further windows were fitted to the side to further maximise the feeling of space and light, one floor to ceiling fixed panel and another top hung casement window.

The outside of the cabin is clad in Siberian Larch , with a shadow groove profile, fixed using stainless steel pins. The rear 2 elevations facing the boundary are black powder coated steel. Inside there are 2 BTC Mann Prismatic wall lights & the external wall lights are supplied by trhe client, galvanised steel sprayed in black to match the windows. The floor is a simple light oak laminate, the ceiling is plastered and painted in New White and the walls are panelled, painted in De Nimes. All electrical sockets and switches are in Corston Polished Nickel with black inserts.
